FREESTONE QCWA
The Freestone branch of QCWA is proud of its contribution towards the improvement and upkeep of the Freestone Memorial Hall, as part of their role as supporters of the local community and country women Australia wide.
Improvements to Freestone Memorial Hall by CWA members include the installation of a hot water system, curtains and shades to windows. Also built-in cupboards and a fully workable system of curtains for the stage have been installed.
International Days are continually supported by Freestone and Clintonvale schools who participate in the art and project competitions. Often the children are entertained by viewing a video of the country of study. The older children help prepare for the day and serve lunch to the CWA ladies, friends and classmates.
The Freestone CWA is active in the distribution and donation of food and support to those in need especially in times of drought and harsh economic conditions.
